A tribute to Fred Buscaglione

Charming, rebellious and full of swing: Fred Buscaglione was one of Italy’s most dazzling musical icons of the 1950s. His songs combine jazz, swing and blues with humorous lyrics, self-irony and irresistible energy.

The host of the evening is the German-Italian baritone Marco Di Sapia, a member of the Vienna Volksoper ensemble. He leads through the program with charm and wit and gives short, entertaining insights into the style, story and genesis of each song. He is accompanied by the Joe Hofbauer Quintett, which brings the spirit of the 1950s to life with its warm sound, stylish arrangements and extensive jazz experience.
